What is better aluminium or steel windows?
If you or your customer requires the slimmest possible windows with the best in authenticity, steel is understandably the genuine product. Aluminium provides a significantly more affordable solution taking design inspiration from classic windows and doors. However, steel products don’t usually come as sliding doors, folding doors or larger screens. Aluminium in the steel look remains one of the best solutions for these types of products.
Are steel-look doors fire-rated?
Reynaers Aluminum Systems has a fire-rated system but this is not a steel-inspired design. Aluminium has no fire rating, typically, so in the steel look, these would have to be a certified fire-rated steel system.
Can you do steel-look sliding doors?
For steel-look sliding doors, we use a slimline Reynaers sliding door product of your choice and customise this with colour-matched, hand-cut and applied glazing bars, creating the grid-like appearance of classic metal doors. The overall look is very pleasing and effective for residential property.
