The conservatory was a popular addition to houses in the 1990s and early 2000s. They were perceived to be a good value for money whilst adding more space and light into the home. Sadly due to excessive overheating in summer and cold and mold in winter, the conservatory mostly lies dormant.
In recent years there has been a push to find a solution to sort out our once beloved conservatory by simply replacing or sheeting over the glass roof. The addition of sheeting over the glass introduces much-needed shade from the heat. However, the biggest problem with roofing a conservatory is the problem of condensation.
This can lead to a build-up of dampness in the insulation subsequently leading to poor insulation. Knowing this is a potential factor with conservatory’s, when we fit them we make sure that they are fitted with proper forms of insulation to avoid these kinds of issues.
